        Well as you know my partner is Mackie. There are some good and bad things about having a partner.  First of all having a partner means you can split up the work.  If you split up the work that means it will take less time to finish it.  You have someone to go to when you are having problems with your project.  You also have a realiable (hopefully) person to help you along the way when you are stressed out.

        Sometimes I feel like I chose the wrong partner.  Mackie is a good guy but he gets really off track a lot.  He does a good job on his work, when he does it.  Sometimes he "forgets" to do it.  I don't know if that just means he didn't feel like it or what but that's how I feel about it sometimes too.  You have to do what you have to do though.  I have to say that I don't think I would choose him again to be my partner.  I think I would rather work by myself then I don't have to worry about doing anyone else's work.  And most of the time I was stressed out about him and I didn't really talk about it to him at first.  Then I did and it seemed to help a little, I guess.

       Future partners...cvs, he gets stuff done. :]

Mood: Frustrated

        Before I start talking about the presentation I want to take time and say that this is really starting to tick me off. I was looking for a "buffered reader" sort of thing for AS but I guess there isn't one. I'm trying to make a guessing game and it just really is not working. CVS told me he thought he new how to get the text to show up in the output box, he told me to write "the name of the output field".text = "the name of the input field".text but of coarse that did not work. So maybe now I will just try to see if I can make things move round using AS instead of motion tweens. Anyways...

        I guess I could make a powerpoint for my part of the presentation. I could show something that I worked on. Tell them a little about the history of Flash and how it started. I'm pretty sure I won't have a game because I'm a little confused on some of the stuff. Their is like no good tutorials online I was looking on google and stuff for almost an hour today. Oh yeah, maybe I could go online and get some pictures or something of Flash, and show some examples of Flash games too.

PS--I didn't get much time to work this week...No school on Monday and the polls were on Tuesday so I was selling sandwichs and handing out flyers most of the day! 

Mood: Really tired from a long long long day.

           So I spent time going through the older version, Flash 5, with the book and made a list of some differences between that and the version we have at votech.  This has helped in that I will know where everything is in the newer version.  Somethings are the same but some aren't and this really helped me find everything I'm going to need.  This is a lot harder than I thought and will take more than nine weeks.  I think I might actually work on it some more after school and stuff because I think it's actually kind of fun trying to figure out the stuff I don't know.

           I'm going through the book so I haven't really hit anything I couldn't figure out.  But I'm sure when I go to come up with something on my own I will have trouble with something.  It think it would be easier if I didn't have to stress out over my partner, but whatever.  I have decided that I'm going to get a good grade on this project whether he does anything or not.  I'm tired of waiting around for him so I'm not going to anymore.  I'm also not going to do everything for the final project.  I'm going to do my part of it and that's it.  Well I'm going to go to sleep. Bye for now.

Mood: Tired from a Long Exhausting Weekend

              So I think I'm actually going to start a Flash something tomorrow.  I'm not to sure what it will be yet.  It might just be an experimental document instead of anything special because this stuff is really hard.  Since I took the book home with me to read it was kind of hard since I don't actually have Flash MX on my computer.  This stops me from doing what I'm reading in the book on my computer at the same time that I'm reading it.  Oh yeah not that this has anything to do with my project but I'm going to see Prom Night this coming weekend! I'm pretty excited even though I like hate being scared, but my friends want me to go so I'm going to go. Haha. Anyways back to this Flash stuff, now that I think I might actually know a little bit of it, it's a little bit more exciting.  I kind of want to come to school and mess around with the program and stuff.  So it's kind of late and I'm super tired so I'm going to sleep.

Mood: Bored to Death

          So another week has gone by, and im still confused.  I get how to make stuff move but the actionscript is really hard.  Having to teach myself makes it even harder and more confusing.  I do alot better if I have someone to explain to me how to use or do certain things.  It's just really hard and I don't know how much we will even get done.  Plus with all my other tests at home school it's crazy.  I'm really getting tired of my english class, he gives us so many assignments at one time that I don't even know when anything is due even if I write down the due dates because he is always changing them.  Whatever.
