Week Three
Mr. C assigned us to go over our timelines and see if anything needs to be changed on it due to any problems or issues we came across. We were under the impression that the shipping date was final once the robot was ordered but we found out other-wise. So JB and I might be in a really tight stop in the near future. We adjusted the timeline to fit our current predicament. Hopefully, we obtain the robot soon so we can catch up on what we planned to do.
Other than that, the week went by pretty fast (mostly due to the PSSA testing). Unfortunatly, due to said tests, as well as another assignment that Champ gave us while he was away, we really didn't have much time to do a whole lot. The situation gets worse as I will be out of commision on monday due to my ISS. JB will have to go on without me and furthur our project by himself that day. But other than that I don't plan on missing class again that week, so I'll be able to help the rest of the week.
Until next week.

Week Two
This week Champion assigned us two things two do for our project, along with what we had scheduled to do on our timeline. The first was the normal blog entry, the one you are reading now. The second was a two paragraph summary on where we want to go with our project. Meaning, what is our goal we want to complete in our project. For the most part we just want to fool around with the iRobot create's capabilities and write simple tasks for it to do. Unlucky for you, our main goal, which has nothing to do with a cup-holder...JB!, will not be announced until we have completed its coding...or until JB decides he can't keep it a secret any longer. Along with our goals, we had to put 8-10 websites that relate to our project.
But anyway, JB and I decided to split the work. He wrote the goals and I found the sites. Everything went very well without any problems. As soon as we decided to split the work, JB went and typed the goal and I got the sites. Here they are by the way. Yeah, I kinda scraped the bottom of the barrel near the last couple of links, mainly because not many people know about the iRobot create yet, but it should be easier to find stuff on it once it gets more publicity.
Moose Out!

First Entry...Finally.
Yeah...I'm a little late. Finally writing this, later then most people have...but hey...if you know me, you know how i am. Procrastination Extraordinaire! But in all seriousness, this is my first blog so any constructive feedback is much appreciated.
Ok...now to the meat of the entry. JB and I have made the timeline for our project as Champ asked of us. A copy of our timeline is available here. Of course there is a little silly in there...it's what we do. Hopefully we get started on the coding for the robot after Easter. On the robot's site it says that you can use code you write yourself for it. The only issue with me is that it uses C or C++, which I have never used before, so I forsee large headaches in the near future as learning two things at once (both the code and how to use it with the bots) will definately take its mental toll on me. But hopefully someone will help both JB and I with the C++. Well...i think thats about it. Later.
